ENFIELD PAGEANT
WHIT BANK HOLIDAY 2009
For the first time in several years the Enfield Pageant was treated to some fine, sunny weather, the Early Ford V8 Club R.G. 127 provided a large stand enhanced by club regalia plus the new Gazebo.
Six Ford V8’s were on show on the Saturday, with no less than eleven vehicles taking part on Sunday, seven V8’s took part in the arena display, with commentary and a question and answer session provided by the Master of Ceremonies.
Monday was an overcast day but brightened up later, four cars were on display, two had stayed overnight.
The Ian Herbert Memorial Trophy was presented to Bernie Hulke with his immaculate 1938 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible Coupe
We had many visitors to the stand throughout the weekend; in fact public turnout in general was good, exhibits were to the usual high standard and the giant Auto Jumble did a brisk trade.
After two or three years of bitter disappointment, the Enfield Pageant was certainly reborn this year; it is fair to say that the whole weekend was a great success.
